Young AthletesA super team result with everyone making vital contributions.

Hayley Pitman was awarded the female field athlete of the match award for her grade 2 performance of 1.60m in the ladies under 17 high jump.

There were winning performances from Chris Knight in the MU17 800 and Ben Robinson in the MU17 1500. Nick Todd ran an impressive debut 1500m steeple chase.

Tony Hillier PV & JT, Adam Taylor, Lewis Hield and James Preston enjoyed great success in several events. Matt Berwick and newcomer Josh Bagnall provided maximum points in the BU15 1500m.

Tom Churches and Andrew Mattis both cleared 1.30 in the BU13 high jump. The willingness of Sam Bedwell and George Hurford to try new events reflected team committment from the youngest team members.

Hayley Pitman lead the way in the under 17 ladies with three super winning performances (HJ, 80m H and 300m H ). Eve Lockett again displayed her range of skills in winning the triple jump, winning the "B" 300m hurdles as well as the fastest lap in the 4 x 400m relay. Christina Jones and Christie Lazenby, Rachel Moss and Coral Little were always 1st or second in their events.

Rachel Pitman was the only winner in the under 15 girls section. A fine leap of 4.42m in the long jump.

Emily Hambridge achieved three 2nd places and Ellis Martin a "B" win in the long jump. All the other girls exceeded AAA grade 4 standard in at least one of their events.
