 | European Clubs Championships, Mantova, Verona, Italy – 5/2/05 |
 Our team was representing Great Britain at this event, by virtue of winning the English title, followed by the run-off against the champion clubs of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. I have just received a call from Amy Stiles, who led our team home in 16th position. Our Club Team finished 6th in Europe. The other team counters were Caroline Kloiber 28th and Dorothea Lee 33rd. Charlie Coffey finished in the 40s. A number of our other runners were unable to go on this trip due to work or University commitments, so to manage 6th is a tremendous result.
The team flew from Stanstead on Friday and were met at the airport. Our team was due to leave from Bergamo, Sunday 10:05 arriving 11:05 at Stanstead. The team were enjoying themselves as arrangements were working well. Look out for a fuller report in a few days time on this site and in ‘Stopwatch’, which will be sent out shortly.
