 I haven't been able to get hold of the full results for the Midland XC Championships 2005 as yet. Here are some snipets I have been sent.
"Reebok Inter-Counties Under 20 Champion Gary Davenport won the Midland Counties Junior title in breath-taking fashion while Amy Stiles retained the Senior Women’s title" - UK Athletics website.
Gary just in front of Tom Humphries before winning the U20 race in a sprint finish "in breathtaking fashion".
The U20 Mens team of Gary, Lee Bartlett, David Awde and Chris Richards won team gold by a mile. The team would like to show their great appreciation to Chris Richards who stepped in at the last moment to make up a team, with Tim Wallis and Jack Dicker not available, and Matt Dickinson injured.
