Congratulations to the Mens Masters Road Relay team for successfully retaining their BMAF 8 Stage Road Relay title on Saturday 20th May, 2006 at Sutton Park. (Pictures of the winning team, Photo Gallery)

Nick Rose grabbed the lead for Bristol on the fourth leg, and the team never looked back. It's a competition where the team performances win out, Leeds had three runners under 15 mins, but only finished 5th. Herne Hill, who beat Bristol in the 6 stage relay Cross Country relays came second with only one runner over 17 mins.

Jerry Hogan (Leg 1) and Wayne Speake (Leg 3) did a great job for the team, with Alec Woods keeping the team at the front in between them. That laid the platform for Nick's talent to shine through. Once Dan Moore had held onto the lead, the recognised road runners looked solid and avoided any slips.
