Congratulations and thanks to all who took part, including our
Track and Field Judges/Timekeeper Bill Kingston, Colin Hickey, Martin
Davies and Mike Strange as well as the fathers of Hayley Green and Sophie
Coghlan for helping out.
Martin Davies awarded to prizes for some special performances on
the day:
Seniors
Hayley Pitman for winning 4 of her events,
with a PB in the HJ of 1.68M,
She was also a winning member of the
4 x 100M team
Emma Heath for winning her 100m and 200m
Christina Jones for her performances in the Field events.
These were difficult choices because the majority of senior events were
won by Bristol athletes - Leila Corfield winning her 400MH and Emma
Reed and Lucy Taylor winning their respective 800M races.
U17s
Emily Diamond for winning the U17 100M
Ruth Stringer for competing in the U17 DIscus
Grace Hogan for coming 3rd in the Senior Triple Jump A competition.
U15s
Congratulations to Sophie Coghlan, Claire Dickens and Annie Trafford
Walker for winning awards for their achievements on the day.
There was also a special prize of tight Lycra shorts for Mike Strange....not
sure why?
Well done to the 4x100M team of Emma Heath, Lauren Martin, Hayley Pitman
and Rammell Houson for winning in 50.0 seconds and the 4X 400M team
of Emma Reed, Liz Tipler, Leila Corfield and Caroline Powell for winning
in 4.08.0.
Finally thanks to Martin Davies for emptying the Kettering litter bin
in my car boot ...Bristol City Council will no doubt be sending me a
surcharge.
We look forward to the next Midland League meeting:
Sunday 8 July at Yate.
