This was a fantastic end of season meeting. I cannot remember finishing ahead of Nottingham who despite being 2nd  will still qualify as one of the top four for the National Finals. As a result the Bristol & West team may leap from 8th to possibly 5th out of 16 teams. This is the highest placing for a long time and certainly the best ever since the competition became a team for boys and girls. Moving on to qualify for the national finals will require better support for the away matches. Ultimately you need members to do well and be there.

Three more athlete of the match awards making eight for the season is terrific. The competition for these awards is very strong and even Tom Gibson, Schools JB PV bronze medallist  only came very close to an award.

The other winners during the season were:

James Preston  BU15 SP
Ding Yang         BU15 LJ
Lewis Hield        BU15 200
Cameron Walker-Shepherd BU15 PV
Christina Jones  LU17 HT

The highlight of the day has to be the win and the Athlete of the Match awards.

There were a range of superb performances throughout the team. Grade 1 performances from Grady Wright, Lewis Hield, Cameron Walker-Shepherd, Tom Gibson, James Preston, Ding Yang, Tony Hillier, Naomi Speake, Daisy Da Silva and Christina Jones.

Well done to everyone who helped achieve the match win.
